29, so blessed

I turned 29 back on May 17th. It was a regular-kids-running-through-the-house-crazy-working-from-home-somebody-help-quick kind of day. I had an evening outdoor session with a family who so sweetly brought me a delectable peanut butter cupcake from their local bakery in Knoxville!  Since Max is allergic to peanut butter (but I love it), it gave me an excuse to eat it in its entirety, super fast on my way home from my session!  ha! 😉

When I got home from my session, I was asked to go to my parents’ house for a few minutes so Daddy and the kids could work on something for me. While at my parents’ house, my dad spills the beans that one of my Aunts is coming out. My mom gave him a look like “why did you just say that?” Soon, I got antsy to come home and called to see if I could come on. This is when I hear another Aunt talking in the background while on the phone. So at this point, I’m pretty sure that a last minute, mini surprise party has been planned. But, not even I would want to ruin a special surprise! 😉 For those of you who have young children, you know it wasn’t really about me being surprised, anyhow. It was about my kids getting to surprise me! They are all about birthdays, parties, and surprises.

So, yes, it was a special mini party. Happy 29 to me. 29 is a happy one because you realize just how special being in your twenties is when you are confronted with the approaching “3” “0”. Yikes

Not my best picture, but a nice moment, altogether…

Probably my favorite part of the entire event, my home-made birthday cards from the kids.  I LOVE how Emmy wrote “WOW” for MOM.

And another good laugh from the night, Daddy thought he was buying a pink tablecloth, but turns out it was pink gift bags.

Why do you love Mommy?
