I am always amazed when I blog and look back at everything I squeeze into a week with my kids. At the time, I always feel like I am dragging along barely accomplishing anything, but then I always feel better looking back at what we actually did! Yes it is chaos. ALL THE TIME KIND OF CHAOS. I know it won’t last forever so I’m trying to enjoy it while I can.
Another trip to the library for story time-
Reagan read Grow Little Turnip, Grow Big
Reagan had been waiting over two years to be able to get her own library card so she was SO happy to finally get it. She had to be out of Kindergarten and be able to write her whole name.
Lunch at the park-
With all the zoo trips, we have been reading lots of animal books. This one was a favorite.
I checked out this dvd to try for the kids. It was quite education and funny- just a little bit over their heads still. I will definitely use this series with them when they get a little older. Even for adults, I would recommend it!
Reagan’s reading log. We try to log most of the books she reads. When she gets a full page, she earns a field trip for us. It is a good system! It helps keep her motivated.
I started reading this class to her- (usually a couple chapters at bathtime/bedtime)
We had an early birthday get-together for my brother since will be out of town on his birthday. Reagan wrote this for him.
Our first trip to Dollywood this year-
My backyard at sunset-
haha. I love this. Emmy censored the baby butt with a stuffed animal.
The girls had their yearly check ups at the Dr.’s office. Emmy just had to dress herself. It was hard for me to let her pull this one off, but I just took a big, deep breath and obliged.
Emmy got two immunizations. Reagan didn’t have to have any. Both of them will not have to have anymore shots til they are eleven years old. They were pretty excited about it! They both checked out great. I always feel so blessed to have such healthy children every time we visit the Dr. for check ups.
We try to swing by the vet’s office across the street from the Dr.’s office every time we go. They always enjoy seeing what animals they have. We got to see a brand new baby pony.
We found a new home for my studio pet bunny Puddin. It was bittersweet to say goodbye, but we agreed that he would probably enjoy his new home with other bunnies more! He was the best bunny that we’ve ever had- a little on the spoiled side as you can see…
Emmy was limping from her two shots in her leg. She had to lay down at the studio for a rest.
Max playing under the bleachers at the girls’ game.
