As our home school year concluded, and I heard of other children around us having their “kindergarten graduation”, I felt impressed to do a little something to recognize Reagan’s accomplishments from the past year. Sunday dinner at my mom’s is always the perfect opportunity to celebrate! My family members are always good sports about indulging and participating in our activities. Gran ordered a cake, I printed a certificate, and I ordered a graduation gown (Rea’s choice of color). It was nice to take out a few minutes of our Sunday afternoon to make her feel special. My favorite part of Kindergarten was learning outside (zoo, backyard, part, Gran’s garden, beach)
I am ready for first grade because I’m done with Kindergarten!
This year, I learned to
- count by 2s and 10s
- count to 100 by 1s
- add and subtract
- sound out words and write stories
- read!
- we have studied animals, colors, space, senses, the world, transportation, seasons, and more!
